In celebration of the 1 year anniversary since their launch, Global Gamers Center (http://www.globalgamerscenter.net/) is proud to present:

At Global Gamers Center, they wanted to make their 1 year anniversary a day to remember. They thought, "Why not have TWO

Not only are they excited to host the Digital Paint mapping contest, but they are also thrilled to announce that they are holding a 4v4 Digital Paint tournament during their 1 year anniversary party! Signup Rules
- - Clans and non-affiliated teams are allowed to preregister their teams of 4-6.
- - A player may only play for one team for the duration of the tournament.
- - Clans are allowed to have any members listed on their DPLogin Clan Profile play for them provided that they are not registered to another team.
- - A team member must be present in #dpcup by 1:15PM/13:15 EST (GMT-5) on the day of the tournament.
- - Teams must be registered by 1:00PM/13:00 EST (GMT-5) on the day of the tournament.
- - Each team must submit an accurate list of their players and their Global Login ID with the signup. Any team using any players with an unregistered Global Login ID will forfeit their match.
Prizes
- - There will be prizes to the best teams, but the prizes and distribution have yet to be decided.
Tournament Format
- - 8-32 Team Double Elimination.
- - Each match is best of 3.
- - Seeds are determined by a death match qualification round.
- - Each team will play until they have lost two matches.
- - Once a team has lost their first match they will be moved to the loser's bracket.
- - The winner of the winner's bracket will play the winner of the loser's bracket in a championship round.
- - In the championship round, the loser's bracket winner must win 2 best of three matches against the winner bracket's winner.
Death Match Qualification
- - 2 five minute rounds of pb2dm1 will be played in deathmatch rules.
- - Each team will elect one member to play in each round.
- - Each team's seed will be based on their combined frag total from each round.
- - Each round will be 5 minutes with no scorelimit.
- - The timelimit on each server will be 8 minutes. The first 3 minutes are allowed for players to connect and observe the random placement of equipment.
- - Players must start once the time reaches 5:00.
- - If a player joins up prior to 5:00 then it is a false start and the map will be restarted.
- - If the same team faults twice in the two maps, they are disqualified.
- - The first 5 minute round will be played on the #eR33t-Gaming North American server.
- - The second 5 minute round will be played on the OTB European Server.
- - Teams will be seeded with the lowest seed going to the team with highest frag count from both 5 minute rounds.
- - If multiple teams are tied in the combined frag count, the best average round placing will be used to determine who gets lowest seeds.
- - If a tie remains after average round placing, then the tie is broken alphabetically (a->z0->9).
- - If a player disconnects or crashes in the middle of a deathmatch round that player must reconnect and continue playing. Logs will be retrieve to determine the player's frag count for that round.
Match Format
- - Each match will be played with 4 players per team.
- - Teams have 10 minutes from when their server is provided to have their team connected. Teams who are unable to have at least three players for the duration of the match are subject to forfeiting the match.
- - Each match is best 2 of 3 maps.
- - Each map will be played for 10 minutes with a 50 pt score limit.
- - If after 10 minutes the scores are tied, a repetitive 2 minute overtime is used until the tie is resolved.
- - The match's lowest seed will select their map first. They must select one of the five maps from the tournament's maplist.
- - The lower seed's selection will be played on the server of the highest seed's preference.
- - The colors will be selected by the higher seeded team.
- - The second and potential tie breaker maps are played on the server of the lower seeded team's preference.
- - The second map will be selected by the higher seeded team. The second map must be selected from the tournament's map list and can not be the same map that the lower seeded team already selected.
- - The lower seeded team will select the colors for the second map.
- - If each team has won 1 map of the first 2, a third tie breaker map will be played.
- - The higher seeded team will select one map to be eliminated as the tie breaker from the three remaining maps yet to be played in the tournament's maplist.
- - The lower seeded team will then select the map to be played as tie breaker from the two remaining un-eliminated maps in the tournament's map list.
- - The higher seeded team will select the colors in the third tie breaker map.

- - Players are not allowed to use external binaries which: modify the computer's internal timing(speed-cheat), modify OpenGL functions (wallhacks, modify model or texture display, etc.), assist with aim or movement, or provide any unfair advantage.
- - Players may use scripts so long as they do not alter a player's movement or aim (this prohibits double jump scripts or any scripts which moves a player's cursor automatically).
- - Players may not use textures, models, rscripts, or sounds that were not included in the official B19 installation and upgrade.
- - Textures, models, rscripts and sounds that were distributed with the maps from the tournament's map list are permitted.
- - Any player caught with these or other modifications that are detected by the Global Ban List protection will also be subject his/her team to disqualification.
Misc.
- - These rules are subject to change at any time, and a list of rule modifications will be documented at the end of this post.
- - The tournament organizer (XtremeBain) has the right to make a final ruling on any match, player or rule disputes.
- - Players and teams may be disqualified if there are multiple complaints of poor sportsmanship. Please respect others and play fairly.
Rule Modifications
- - Fixed typo in Signup Rules at 8:19PM EST, Nov 9 "Clans are allowed to have any members listed on their DPLogin Clan Profile play for them provided that they are not registered to another team."
Please let me know in this thread if there are any questions.

I'm not sure how any Europeans are going to be able to participate :/ Starting at 7:30pm and 8:30pm won't give us near enough time to last the duration.
-
I would much rather play at night than during mid day.
-
Its got nothing to do with what time you'd rather play if you have school the next day (especially if forced to sleep by parents).
I'd be interested to know how many West Coasters are being catered for at the expense of Europe. Of course, another way would be to extend the tournament over 2 days.
-
Added a news blurb about it.
-
So there's no double jump scripts? Good.
-
or any scripts which moves a player's cursor automatically
like what ???
-
Automatic 180 degree turn script (herrons)
-
Maybe .Ij. will make it
-
is there a list of teams that has signed up

An hero? You're doing it wrong.
-
i am really disappointed in the prizes this year. you'd think that GGc would have atleast matched the price of the keyboards for last years 1st place winners of the tourney. instead they sent a bunch of junk.
-
Sounds like someone was tricked.
-
HA, you silly mexican. Do you really think you could win a $300 vid card on a free online game.
-
LOloLolOlolOL darn ieatnoobs you are one funny guy.
-
Nah your just bad and im Lucky. LOL
-
you should go on tour with those punchlines.
-
I'd go to his show. I find them quite humorous.
You should lighten up.
Anyways, someone list what the prizes were.
-
Hey jits,I know it was upsidedown ;) I'm not that idiot that I look like^^
But actually,it was the best pic I made ^^

Pfft. The keyboards were for a different tournament held during the year, and they cost a fortune to ship outside of the US. With Christmas coming up, you'll just have to deal with me not wanting to pay $60 per prize box just for shipping. ;D
Anyways, someone list what the prizes were.
All three places got NVIDIA stuff depending on which place they took (1st place got NVIDIA T-shirts, mousepads, stickers, pens, etc.) and the obligatory NERF guns that we had to include because it was GG's anniversary.
I suspect that, as we hold more tournaments, you'll find that prizes for tournaments farther away from the holiday season will be worth more or will be generally larger, because that's when we can spend more on shipping. Blame the Europeans!
Now, the real reason I'm here...
Alpha, if you're still watching the thread, is it okay if I post that picture on the GG site? It's hilarious.
-
Sure you can ;)
but I'd like to get the link to that side :)
-
*Alpha shoot to fame*

Maybe a European clan will win it someday.
Sure. >Leezerz CuP<
-
>Leezerz CuP< isn't a clan...
-
Any team with Reed on it is Europe's best bet.
-
..and yet we're gonna make the big money by betting on someone else. ;)
