Here is my new map that is set in the cliffs. it is yellow vs. purple. each team has two flags a couple caves, and some bunkers. there are many ways. have fun.

Firstly, this is a great map; technically very well thought out, aesthetically good, and practically good for the most part.

http://rapidshare.com/files/114856198/mazingmap.rar.html (sorry for the rapid link, i was in a rush).

I've attached a few screenshots with issues that need to be resolved (Some of them are very picky, but perfection is everything!).

60: Through the wall (TTW)
61: Misaligned texture
62: Misaligned texture
63: Clip this so people can't get stuck under it. Also the DP is backwards on the box!
64: TTW
65: TTW and strange clipping on the left hand side
66: Misaligned texture
67: Clip it so people don't get stuck when jumping past
68: Nothing wrong here, i would just like to see a lip that you can double off to the mid high.
69: TTW
70: TTW?
71: Don't like this, just seems awkward. I'd prefer i circle away from the wall
72: Looks strange, but not technically wrong
73: Not obvious that this is ice - we'll get to this later!
74: TTW
75: Misaligned texture, and its not quite flush with the wall
76: Misaligned texture and TTW
77: TTW

Phew! Some of the TTW ones you may have already done some clipping on, so ignore them if you have.

Right, my main issue is with the 'ice cave'. It makes it so quick to get from one base to the other that it makes many of the other paths redundant. While the jump is good fun, personally, I'd like to see the ice go to make for a more balanced map. I know people will disagree, so perhaps you could put one of the other caves as ice instead, one which it takes longer to get to mid, and without the giant jump!

Nevertheless i think this will become a favourite match map with many clans (although i think it'll see limited pub play).

Good job and keep it up,

Reed.

Yeah I think it looks very well done.
I like the idea of the broken tower that has fallen on to the ground, well done.
I am liking the new detail and style of the maps being made.

Keep up the good work.

WOAH!!
REALLY good job there, man. Didn't realise that youi were this good at mapping.

Names... 'an m-a-zing map' is good how it is.
maybe 'cave wars', 'a map with mant routes' (jk).

Seriously, a really good map. Someone put it on the match servers! I wanna match a clan with it!

alright, i fixed what reed pointed out. i may still have errors, please point them out if you see them, hopefully before i go to bed so i can compile it tonight.. but here is beta 2 after five hours of compiling. And if a good name pops into your head please post it, sorry pirate cave wars is too lame. (jk)

Edit: oh yeah, i forgot to ask

Nevertheless i think this will become a favourite match map with many clans (although i think it'll see limited pub play).

what reasoning is behind that? how would you know such a thing?

I suggest you look at all your doors and texture changes in the cave some are sticking out see examples below.
Also the last one just looks weird.

*pirate gets poised for jits to give an answer to all his mapping problems.

Apparantly the cave texture problm is due to locked textures, but I get it all the time
