Got this recorded a short bit ago on GT Pub 1.

Guy's name is BrueLee, it's quite obvious from the demo he is hacking.

This was somewhere between 4:00pm and 4:10pm MDT on October 14.

This is why I have been saying there needs to be a better way of identifying players besides their ip address..maybe mac address.. or when you install dp it sets a unique id number so no matter what ip or name you are using that id number is there. Also if you delete and reinstall dp that number is still the same. Dp login needs to be reviewed and revamped players dont need 10 nicks , 1 or 2 should be enough. There are players using proxy connections and have multiple accounts I'm sure that there are not 50,000 to 75,000 sum odd players in dp.

What would be ideal is that when you create an account, some kind of hash is generated on the dplogin website that the install of dp downloads at time of install to authenticate the user.

Either something needs to be done like this or forget about any kind of authentication and let players do as they wish.

You will not be able to control the cheaters as long as they can change id's easily and servers don't require logins.

like an authentication code that game developers put on each individual game to prevent the discs being copied and used. However, this would mean that a cheater would just have to download a fresh install every time he was banned. So, not much change, other than making them go through the trouble...
