In the middle of a match, Q.. with a fake nocheat msg...

pathetic. This is what makes DP bad. So I wouldn't recommend matching "Playaz" unless they dispose of this worthless piece of excrement.

What stops you from loading another client, seeing what your code is, and just using that? I fail to see how this nocheat thing does anything at all... tho I haven't actually used it.

Mmm, I need to get working on 2.0 cheat protection...

Some of you old timers may remember this; My server logs every ip address on connect and I have a cgi that will look through the logs at http://admin.mustangserver.com/

so plug in the name, it came back with the ip

Never could figure out why people put so much trust in that nocheat... isn't it a hack itself? I'd say it just keeps the honest people honest... I'm sure if you can figure out a way to cheat before... you can surely find a way now.

But the thing is, downloading a cheat is much more easier then hacking or getting around NoCheat, and that's the purpose. ANYONE can use a cheat, but only some can get around NoCheat. If we prevent a few players from cheating, it's a start.

According to Jit, DP will be a standalone game. So now Cal can create a .exe file that will scan a system for hacks, cheats, and whatever else there is. In TFC this is apparently very affective.

This will be a good day in DP.

Razor will verify this one. Him and I were in a public game (not mentioning the name of the person) and we saw someone who was obviously using the cheat. The 2 of us would come from different paths, not shooting a stream, and the guy would hit each of us in turn on the first three shots. Call me a tradionalist, but this ruins the game. I have no idea how we would get around this problem, but perhaps something could be done about it with minimal effort.

TEXTI hate cheaters, Yesterday I went to go get my daily ownage in crates. I started playing and by the time my team was dropped to the spawn there was a speed hacker by my flag, every time. And the funny thing is he was 6 and 8, it was a big game and many people wittnessed it, the guys excuse was "oh sorry I just had a clan tournament and was using it", and i said "why the intercourse would u be using cheats" and he says dude its for another game the cheat is auto aim, "and I said why the intercourse would you cheat, and your a meddling liar am I suppose to believe that when u went to play this game it magically converted to a speedhack?"

Ug - that was unreal, Sum-1. I've questioned some players who seem to know where people are, but this guy was on top of everything. Perfectly timed, perfectly placed shots, and grenades.

i've been gone a while and i come back to see that the same bull is happening. it's easy guys. you see a cheater, leave, go somewhere else. if they follow, open ur own server, and ban him. cheaters are everywhere, and will always be cheaters. some ppl just can't face the fact that they suck.
