I still have the need to post here.

What the intercourse?

The last time I was kicked from a server was just for the hell of it.  Seriously though, probably when I was pinging 400 on a euro server when I had no idea what 'ping' was.  Kicking people from a server for saying that is absurd.  If my IRC could log (since I dont use mIRC), I could find countless quotes of people saying that Vanitys servers lagged.  He doesn't take it as an offence though, he looks into it, and after I did too it happened to be someone else doing some heavy working on the server, due to it being a VPS.  Use the feedback to generate something better.  That's all it is, feedback, in any form.  No need for this kicking business.

Think of it this way, Jusu is saying something about the server.  You kick him.  You are not personally attacked, you are given information you may want to look into.  You or a clanmate kicking Jusu, now THAT is a personal attack.

Johnyboy - virus

Johnyboy - I think I have the answer (someone correct me if i'm wrong..)

Answer:  Norton is the biggest piece of resource zapping excrement ever.

The reason norton is 'protecting' you is because a virus has been found in 1 file in the mirror of sourceforce -  voxel.dl.sourceforge.net
- this shouldn't surprise anyone as there are 100 000's of files hosted there..

If you read the link you sent the actual file is

http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net/project/ophcrack/ophcrack/3.3.1/ophcrack-win32-installer-3.3.1.exe  - which has absolutely nothing to do with digital paint - this is how absolute rubbish Norton is...

Seriously get rid of Norton it gives your computer AIDS, choose a different AV, one that allows you to use the internet properly.

Or better still change to an OS where you don't (yet) need AV at all (for desktop use)

 (Ubuntu is pretty easy..)

Looks like Norton had an issue with where the file was downloaded from, not the file itself.  Try grabbing the pretest2 file from the first post in this thread and see if it has the same issue.

Well, I did what you said and Norton continues to block it. The reason that they gave was that not many norton users had downloaded the file and therefore was unsafe. Ill just disable norton for a while and then run it. Thats probably the only way of getting it.

vLaD if you use Dl reshacker and open paintball up with it you can save the icon in the folders there. May not be the easiest way bit it works well. Hope it helps.

Try setting "gl_clear 1" in the console and then take screenshots of what you get then, it's incredibly hard to tell what's going on with all the HOM effects everywhere.

After typing gl_clear 1, its wasn't as bad. By that, I mean no leaks, just black splotches everywhere. These shots are at propaint1 again. For the record it's not the map it happens to every map. Just to let everyone know,
1. Paintball is upside down
2. Movement is inverted
Here are my pics. Thank you for everyone who is helping me.

I use Malwarebytes, it's pretty good. Got the full version free :]. It's like a fire wall and you can choose to scan stuff, my old AV had found no viruses/harmful things, then I got this and it found over 30. So, it definitely has potential. Try it. And Norton is a little annoying because it scan everything literally everything. Stuff that doesn't have to do with the program you got. It's bull dung! Get rid of it, please!

Apparently random BSP leaves aren't being drawn. That is a mystery. The inversion is also very confusing as it's only affecting the 3d rendering, 2D is fine... And judging by the way your text looks quite dark, your card can't handle transparency very well. Did all of these problems start with build 30?

I searched the forums and found you posted you had a S3 ProSavageDDR card, so here is a link to the latest drivers from S3 (for windows XP):
http://drivers.s3graphics.com/en/download/drivers/legacy/ProSavageDDR_420/S3G_ProSavageDDR_winxp_v139433.exe

Hopefully they'll fix the problems you're having, but if not, it may be down to the changes jitspoe made to solve problems with other legacy video cards - the only real advice that can be given for a permanent solution is to save up some money and get a new PC.

The somewhat transparent walls were always a problem, they go on and off. The only thing i noticed in build 30 was the inversion and messed up graphics on my part. I have tried to update my driver using that like you said. But during installation, it asks to put in a disk. This graphic card is from 2004ish. I don't have the disk. Can you not force build 30 when entering a server, or I won't be able to play when I get unbanned, and you never know this might have happened to other people that play this game, but aren't in the community so didn't post anything.

Well, the installer finally detected that it was for an attempted update, but it didn't work. Not sure HOM is but posting my configurations might help, I think. Here they are, tell me if I should change anything.

Removed for content.

ROFL, way to go publishing your ZGH config there. I suggest you remove those before you get unbanned or you might get another ban very quickly.
