Update Problem?

Using Windows 7.

I tried updating the game from build 27 to the current version. Whenever I try, it says:

Error opening file for writing:

C:\Games\Paintball2\paintball2.exe

Click Abort to stop the installation

Retry to try again, or

Ignore to skip the file.

What should I do? :(

Backup ur config file and Install the new build..
And then put ur config back It'll work :)

Like Trion stated, backup your config file (found in Paintball2/pball/configs/). Then uninstall Paintball2 and try to use the full installer!
Don't forget to put your config file back when finished! :D

Are you running the game while trying to update it?  Open task manager and make sure paintball2.exe isn't running.

Try opening the installer with administrator permissions, for an example just look the attached image

PD: Imagine the icon in the image is the DP2 installer  ;D I don't have windows in english.
