I don't really think people are arrogants overall, exept when there is a stake (thinking about tournaments & stuff ), thats the type of arrogancy that will bring the desire to beat who ever was arrogant.
So the purpose of it was to hype you up.

Beside that, there is few personality that plays with the arrogancy, and structure it to belittle you, the purpose of that is to make the target raging and feeling bad, demoralizing you. You should totally ignore this one.

But overall, if you act nice and got an open mind, you should be able to talk with alot of players without being rejected, or badly considered.

That's the thing. When I'm playing I'll say hi. They'll either not reply, or call me a uneccesary stuff.

Every game community is like that. CSGO, LoL, even dp2. DP2 community is more troll than "arrogant", if somebody will say fck you, he prolly means that he want to share testicles with you.

@Squeeze I play csgo and the community isn't as bad as people think as long as you're not annoying yourself. I don't see a simple hi as annoying.
