New BSP (0.97b)
« on: July 14, 2018, 10:24:24 PM »
I put together a new BSP pack.

Notable changes:
- New version of BSP that was just released!
- Entity description improvements (thanks to Chef-Killer and the other guys at OTB for doing a lot of this).
- Batch file tweaks so you don't have to manually configure directories/install locations.  Should just be able to unzip it and go!  Will read the paintball2 install dir from the registry.
- Updated qbsp to better handle small brushes.
- Misc. config/toolbar changes to help make things easier.

I downloaded the new BSP and tried to compile my map, but I got an error (see screenshot).

"The system cannot find the path specified."
"The syntax of the command is incorrect."

What's going on? Why is it confused about the directory?

Maybe it's just not finding the Paintball2 install directory in the registry.  Did you actually install Paintball2 from the installer?

In bsp/pball2/quake2/pball/compilers, do you have a runmap.bat?  If so, open it in notepad and remove the first "@echo off" line and run it again and see if it has any extra info.  Do you have HKCU\SOFTWARE\Digital Paint\Paintball2 in your registry with an INSTDIR key?

Also, what version of Windows are you running?

I finally fixed the problem. It was looking for Paintball in C/program files when it should have been looking in C/games.

The rotate and flip about x/y/z axis tools do not work properly if I have entities selected. Is anyone else having this issue?

I can repro that issue.  I pinged Sort about it on discord.
