Krizdo4: I think a better vote would be to develop a proper decal system where splats actually conform to the surface (instead of hanging over the edge of things or getting cut off by walls).  Double sided splats would look really bad hanging out over the edges of bunkers and stuff.  Another thing I've wanted to do is make a fragment program that will take into account the texture brightness so bumps and shadows on a texture show up on the splat, too.  That's not very critical, though, so I'll wait a few versions before I vote for it.

Add one for wall jumping. Wheres my backup for the hook mod? It'd be so easy and fun.

Oh here's something I forgot about for a while.
Double sided paint splats.
On the map blitz with the semi-transparent walls, you could obscure the other team's view by painting up the wall.

Interesting......

will the "stuff" and "stuffall" commands be included in the new serverbuilds?  Really useful commands from the PBCup...

Those commands are way to easy to abuse, so no.  If there are specific things you would like, though, I can add them.  I just don't want to give admins full control to mess with client settings.  There is already a forcejoin command for team assignment.  I assume that is the most critical thing.

stuff & stuffall commands for the things we used them for in PBCup, basically:

speak
specinvite
can't think of others right now, but those are crucial for league play I think (to let admins have control)

How about completely removing the lower ones (ie. 720x568 and below)?

Some of us play at very low resolutions. Don't mess with it please.
Change the default all you want, but don't remove resolutions.

Have to give Zorch a minus for that.

If this is added, you also shouldn't be able to clean painted walls by vid_restart or reconnecting. Storing it serverside would create massive lag though...

Why would you say that? If its not affecting anyone why would you want it removed?
Its feature vote, not feature removal vote...

Cobo he wants it removed because if no one used it there would be no point in it being there and wasting space for no reason at all.

And I highly doubt having that takes up any significant space.

Ok I'm not going to complain but the time they are using making sure things work on all resolutions could be used to develop other things.

Well, I thought that no one used those low resolutions anymore. I mean windows ships with a default resolution of 1024x768, and on most systems it doesn't go below 800x600. I don't see much use in having completely unused settings. Look at the attached pic. All I did to it was crop it a little. That is the lowest resolution. I don't see why that one needs to be in there.

Same thing if they add higher resolutions. Actually, it would probably take more time for higher resolutions since the default resolution is 640x480 (I think) so the game is made to work with that resolution, on the high ones they have to scale everything up, like the HUD.

So ok, I agree we might not need the ~300x300 resolution but not everyone has a super monitor. I believe Jitspoe (or someone else, cant remember)  once said that a lot of people that play this game dont have very high specs.

Here's a vote, altough I dont think it will ever happen:
Server side mods, where people can modify the behaviour of the server through a system similar to q3 qvm's.
It would open the possibilty for new game modes made by the community.
Stuff that could be modified in a potentially malicious way would stay on the gamex dll but the rest would be modified with the mod
Each mod should have a unique name that would be displayed on the serverlist, the name would probably be the same as the "game" cvar. This means that the mod would load from the folder the "game" cvar is set to. So if game is "pball" then it will load the default mod.

I don't know much about Q3 qvms, but it sounds like OSP and RoCMod for SoF2
