Sorry, Cobo.  Not sure how I missed it -- I did read it.  I'll add it in the next tally.

Good suggestions, Bain.  I'd also like to make global login-based ops (so you don't have to mess with op passwords and logging in  every time you connect -- should be more manageable, too).

Everyone: Try to keep your votes focused on the "Gotta have's", not the "maybe's" and "might be nice's".  I'm not looking for ideas.  I'm looking for essentials.

I find it kind of surprising that almost none of the requests people have gone on about in other threads (such as hiding the player model in first person chasecam) have made it in here.  That's more what I'm interested in -- annoyances that need work, not just generic things like "add more guns and skins!" which don't (in my opinion) impact the gameplay much.

Disable color chat
vwep
more high res textures
faster map downloading

Would it be possible for you to set up a stats page for each server? That would be pretty neat.

Cobo: You're going to have to explain what you mean by that.

Picasso: sv_noextascii 1 to disable garbage at the console/console log.  It should be on by default.

SkateR: If I do stats, I'd like to have them match-based.

T3RR0R15T: Yeah, we already have centerflag and pong modes, which are almost the same thing.  I don't think it really warrants a new game mode.  If there's enough interest, I suppose I could simply add an option where you can carry the pong ball, but I think it's more interesting having to kick/shoot it around.

Why match based? Clans sit in match servers and play eachother, that would ruin the stats. KEKekKEKEK

As in change the way the menu files are writen. I dont think this is a "must" tho.
Perhaps some eyecandy like skies with moving clouds, find a way to add real looking trees in maps, or add mirrors.

1: Ugly Q3 name colors  - TinMan
How is it ugly? It's clean to read and easy to use, easy to make HTML pages with it's output too.

Neon pink, lime green, bright red and blue -- those are like the only colors you have, since there's only 8 of them.  They just look ugly.

Alright, I retract my color request since you have a valid point, but I do request a cleaned up funname system or a removal of colors, all the weird characters get annoying.

Strange, I checked the servers and yes the sv_noextascii is set to "1" but the logs are still full of all the code.

Any idea what's up there?

My votes would go for:
-Faster mapdownload
-Dropdown menu in the scoreboard so ignoring can be done faster. (or is that already done?)
-Ingame serverlist like the official "serverbrowser" (i'd say both will be needed)
-only "pw" instead of typing the whole word (password) in the console

For that one you could use an alias:
Code: (in config.cfg) [Select]
seta alias pw "password"

PiCaSSo: Are you looking at old logs, maybe?  Or perhaps you don't have the latest paintball2 executable?  Go to the end of your qconsole log files (shft+G in vi).

If you have "sl_logging" set to something in the server config file a log is made in \paintball2, but there is another log that is made in \paintball2\pball (qconsole<port#>.log). The second one does not have the color codes in the names, the first one does. And I think sl_logging is disabled by default, but I'm not too sure.

The qconsole logs are stripped just fine...  I'm looking at the daily server logs i.e. server27910.log which are full of code.

Zorch has it right but I'm wondering how come these aren't stripped as well or if there is a way to strip them.

Those are the stdlogs meant for stat parsing, not viewing.  The stat parser XtremeBain was working on actually used the color codes to generate colored names in html.
