Well, if it's not YOUR ban, why do YOU complain about it?? Hoffig didn't even say a word about the whole thing yet. I guess he accepts the rules: you cheat, you get banned.

There is absolutely nothing to discuss about, because he got caught playing online with either modified textures and / or a modified client. Period.

I can't tell you specifically what changed, just that the paintball2.exe is different than what everybody else is using. In order to check if the files are different, you need to look at more than the file size. A program like md5sum will give you a unique number for each file, or you could run something like fc (file compare) or diff against both your file and his at the same time to see what exactly changed.

Those servers were used in the EuroPaint Cup, on 2007-07-01, so jitspoe, could you clarify the time/server relations?

That's just the time and servers the modified client was detected on. Not sure what else you need clarified...

you listed a timespan and a bunch of servers. if you would say he played on DAY X on SERVER Y with the hacks, that would be a lot more useful...

he learned his lesson, if he really wants to play sooner rather than later, get in touch with jitspoe, and maybe he implemented some type of pay system to reduce ban times for situations like this.

Note that these are central time. And he may not have been cheating. All I can tell you is that the paintball2.exe was different.
